NBTS Annual Meeting Sponsorship Opportunities

The following list describes some examples of NBTS annual meeting sponsorship opportunities.  Full or partial sponsorships are available for any of these options.  Sponsorship shows an organization’s commitment to the mission of the Neurobehavioral Teratology Society and is a way for private, public, and not-for-profit organizations to increase overall awareness of their mission, services, and programs to NBTS members and annual meeting attendees.

Conference Awards: competitive awards to undergraduate and graduate students and postdoctoral fellows who will be presenting their work at the annual meeting.  Awards are in the amount of $700 each to help defray the cost of attending the annual meeting.

Richard Butcher New Investigator Award: competitive award presented to the best paper by a new investigator in the field.  The awardee is required to make an oral presentation at the annual meeting.  The award covers the full cost of attendance at the annual meeting.

Best Presentation Awards:  Two awards are presented - one to a predoctoral student and one to a postdoctoral fellow - to recognize excellence in scholarship, research, and communication in either a poster or a platform presentation that is given at the annual meeting.

Symposia support:  to cover costs of travel to and attendance at the annual meeting for invited guest speakers, who are selected for their expertise in an area of interest to members.

General meeting support: to help cover the general costs of the annual meeting such as meeting room fees, audio-visual rentals, and publication of the meeting program.

Sponsorship Benefits

The NBTS annual meeting is an important venue for communication and exchange of ideas among scientists in industry, government, contract research organizations, and academia.  We are particularly pleased that this meeting provides an opportunity for new investigators still in school or early in their careers to present their work.

In appreciation of sponsorship contributions, the Neurobehavioral Teratology Society will provide sponsoring organizations with the following benefits:

  • Recognition in the NBTS annual meeting packet
  • Acknowledgement in the journal Neurotoxicology and Teratology
  • Acknowledgement on the NBTS website
  • Acknowledgment on signage in the registration area or at the sponsored event at the annual meeting
