Dear NBTS Members,

During Sunday’s meeting of the AAALAC International Board of Trustees (BOT) there was some discussion of the changes proposed in Policy 3 (Veterinary Care) and the possible impact of these changes on the implementation of the Animal Welfare Act Regulations by the U.S.D.A.-APHIS.  The public comments period for the proposed changes originally was September 27, 2013.  However, the public comments period has now been extended to Friday, October 11, 2013.
